Klime Kovaceski is a U.S.-based, Macedonian-born composer, songwriter, and producer whose decades-long career began in the underground post-punk scene of the late 1970s and 1980s and has since evolved into a global body of work, shaped by collaborations with artists across dozens of countries, cultures, and contemporary musical traditions.
He began as a co-founder of Afektiven Naboj, a pioneering band in the former Yugoslav alternative scene, drawing influence from artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Iggy Pop, Robert Fripp, and Brian Eno. In the early 1980s, he further developed his musical direction through projects like Padot na Vizantija, creating compositions that would continue to evolve over the decades. After moving to Miami in 1984, he continued refining this body of work while maintaining strong ties to his roots. He traveled to Macedonia and returned to music in 1989, forming the band Anastasia, and in 2022 re-emerged with Kovaceski Music, an international project that blends chamber, ambient, post-punk, and world music into a cinematic, contemporary sound performed by musicians from around the world.
As of late, however, Kovaceski's passion and creative focus have shifted toward neoclassical music. His latest compositions emphasize expressive piano, strings, and acoustic instrumentation, creating deeply emotional, cinematic works that draw inspiration from classical traditions while maintaining a contemporary voice.

since the mid 80's, when I first played them in North Miami Beach, FL.
These songs emerged from my experiences of leaving behind my home, my family and friends, and the band
Fall of Byzantium.
For me, creating a song has always felt like opening a wound in my soul. As the song takes shape, the wound begins to heal. Until now, none of my songs have felt completely finished.
This marks my first serious musical endeavor since 1989, when we recorded the initial tracks for the band Anastasia.
